For a Syrian Woman and her Child

For a Syrian Woman and her Child
A woman with her child
Takes to the streets
Against the tyrant
With devil in his eyes
A despot hidden behind
False promises and lies
While the blood flows
Out of the good peoples' hearts

To the protest march
The voice of liberty is high
In the sacrifice
Of this woman and her child
As bleeding friends find strength
As she struggles against the dark

For her child she rises
Inspired by the immortal messages
Seen by poets
In the eternal and true light
That will sweep away
The dictatorship of night

And she fights
With her smile
For her child
Still alive in her arms
To stop the pain in Syria
And the tears in the sky
For Freedom
For Life

Beyond the Silence

Beyond the Silence
Words can say
Silent meanings
Between the lines
Unwritten signs
Of events
Unspoken
Unblind
Still alive
Somewhere
Somehow
Hidden
But remembered
Where the minds
Find, encounter
The unsaid said
To be revealed
In the judgement day
To come, to arrive
For all
Even for those
Who try to hide
In the silence
Between the lines

Alone and Unhappy - Not Me

Alone and Unhappy - Not Me
They are so alone
And think they have done much
Not having more than a bank account
A window to look at
Something to talk about
No one to listen
No one to listen to
Everything by themselves
Nothing to someone else
Abandoning the meaning of life
Coming to an end
Nobody cares about
Have they existed?
Have they not?
Behaving like selfish genes
Humanity lost
Not me
Not ever me
As I see the meanings of
The understanding of
A life given
A life to give
This is what
The life of love is all about

The Place to Be

The Place to Be
Are we here
Or are we not?
Does the water mirror reflect
What I see
Or what is not?
Am I the one I see
The one to be
Or the one who is not?
I am certainly
The certainty of the existence
Of one who has passed
Beyond the barriers set up
By others who do not care
Beyond the walls
Walls that will fall
Over past trails
Making the past
Of those who are there
But not here anymore
I am the one I see
Reflected deep inside
The gazing eyes
In the mirror
By the waterside of time

Where is the Snow

Where is the Snow
Planet Earth
My planet home
Has sent us a sign
Told us a tale
Of past civilisations
Lost in their egoistic self
Selling their children's future
For a piece of gold
In a destroyed land
And a dirty sea
Refusing to hear
The messages short and long
They are now all gone
Do we listen to the message
Are we also blind
As we look at the sky
And see not anymore
The October snow
Only a blue
Too hot and threatening
Sunlight
